Mike and I feel the Lord is leading us to be a part of Omaha Christian Center. We visited the church once in May since some long-time friends of ours, Ed & Mary Ellen Helmick, were pastors. I say "were" because their last Sunday at O.C.C. was the Sunday after we visited. We were disappointed to hear that but, after visiting several other churches, we decided to "check out" the new pastors, Chris & Rhonda Wadle. We really liked what we saw and heard and have now visited three Sundays in a row. I suppose we're no longer "visitors" and even attended an adult Sunday School class this past Sunday. I do miss the way things used to be but I also trust the Lord, believing we are in His hands and He has it all under control.

I would appreciate your prayers as I walk through a very difficult time in my life. It's a long, personal story so I won't bore you with the details but my husband and I are no longer at The Family Room. It was a heart-wrenching decision on my part but one I felt had to be made. Don & Cheri are very dear friends and always will be and, believe it or not, this new endeavor has their blessings on it. I will forever be grateful to them for releasing me although it wasn't an easy decision for them to make either. Again, I won't go into detail about the changes but I will say this much...I believe in The Family Room. I believe in what God is doing there in the hearts and lives of my dear friends. I believe in the leadership of Don & Cheri White and Rick & Wendy James and the C2C Churches they are connected with throughout the country. If you are looking for a church home, you will not go wrong in choosing to visit The Family Room. If you do visit, you will want to return. The worship and preaching/teaching of the Word of God have one goal in mind...to draw you into intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and with others.
Please pray for my husband and I as we have visited eight different churches over the past three months or so. We are actually going to make a repeat visit to a church this coming Sunday. We liked what we saw and heard the first time. I know if this is the church God has for us, it will have The Family Room's approval as the leadership of both churches have a great relationship. If this isn't the church for us, we will continue on our new adventure knowing the Lord is leading us each step of the way.

My family attends The Family Room. I have been with the leadership team, Don & Cheri White and Rick & Wendy James, for many years. Don & Cheri have been my pastors and friends since March, 1985. I can't imagine life without them or their family. My grandchildren call them Uncle Don and Aunt Ree. One of the richest blessings I have received from attending The Family Room is the opportunity to call so many dear people my friends. Again, some of these friendships began 25-30 years ago. Another wonderful aspect of church life is the deep intimacy we encounter whenever we come together in praise and worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

At the Family Room, I teach Children's Church twice a month. I teach Kindergarten at our church school, The Study. I also teach elementary Social Studies and fill in wherever needed on Thursday afternoons. I have the privilege of teaching met some of the most wonderful children and young people who love Jesus.
I'm also thankful for the body of believers the Lord has brought into my life. Not just those who attend our church but those I have the privilege of coming into contact with on a daily basis. There are numerous Christians, pastors, churches, and other Christian organizations we are able to minister to as a result of owning Hofer's Auto Repair, Inc.
God has greatly blessed me by these dear friends. My heart is overflowing with love and gratitude to Him and to them as well.
